About Us
Our Story
New Hope Family Services is a pregnancy resource center and a faith-based New York State authorized adoption agency. We began as an adoption agency in 1965 under the name Evangelical Adoption and Family Services serving the great state of New York, but wanted to grow to provide a wider range of services to better meet the needs of our local community.

In 1986, New Hope Pregnancy Aid Center officially opened its doors as a premier pregnancy center offering counseling, education, pregnancy options, and resources to women and men facing pregnancy decisions. In 1992, the two organizations officially combined to form New Hope Family Services, offering both adoption and pregnancy care services. Our Mission
New Hope Family Services seeks to be Christ’s hands extended to offer help and hope to those with pregnancy, parenting and post-abortion needs in the Syracuse area; and with adoption needs throughout New York State.
Our continuum of services reaches out to people at different stages of their lives in order to encourage them to value and choose life.
Our Staff
Our staff is committed to offering support to expectant parents, birth parents, adoptive parents, adoptees, and their families throughout their adoption story. Adoption is life -long and we strive to offer support and guidance for the entire adoption journey. Many of our adoption team members have personal experience with adoption and can relate to the thoughts and emotions experienced by those we serve. We feel honored to do this work and would enjoy being a part of your story.
Our Services
New Hope is a Christian ministry that serves expectant/birth parents, infants, and adoptive parents through the adoption process. We are a private, voluntary, non-profit corporation that is authorized by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to provide domestic infant adoptions up to age two. We work with adoptive, expectant, and birth families throughout New York State, with the exception of those who reside in the five boroughs of NYC and Long Island.
We provide home study services for hopeful adoptive parents who are interested in our program, support for expectant parents as they consider all their options and create an adoption plan that is customized for them, and lifelong support for all members of the triad. All of our services for expectant and birth parents are free of charge.
